Asus ZenBook Flip 13 UX363EA-AH74T Review And Specification

Asus ZenBook Flip 13 UX363EA-AH74T Review And Specification

With its exceptional battery life, powerful graphics, and ample power for most tasks, the Asus ZenBook Flip 13 is a design marvel that is suitable for a 130-inch convertible laptop.

The majority of us will be reminded of this machine by its hidden features and possibly by its lack of them. If you're searching for an extremely thin laptop, you'll be amazed by its low profile. Its stunning OLED screen, powerful 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 processor, and 3.5mm analog audio jack will make you forget it doesn't have one.

The ZenBook Flip 13 is available from Asus in a number of configurations; the one we reviewed, the UX363EA-AH74T, is the top model and comes with an IPS-level screen and a Tiger Lake Core i7 CPU. An OLED display is an optional feature. An further model, the Intel i5-1135G7, comes with different memory and storage capacities.

With the exception of these particular elements, however, they all possess the same characteristics, therefore this review is applicable to any ZenBook Flip 13 configuration that you may be considering.

When There's Too Much Skin

Unquestionably, one of the Asus ZenBook Flip 13's most notable characteristics is its thin design. We can't help but question if this clamshell laptop is a bit too small at just 0.55 inches thin. It weighs only 2.87 pounds, making it a featherweight Ultrabook.

The ErgoLift function, which raises the keyboard in your direction as the screen is fully extended, is another design element. This is really beneficial since it makes typing more fun than it would be without it.

The UX363EA-AH74T, like all other Asus ZenBooks, has an aluminum chassis with a stylish brushed metal pattern on the lid that extends from the off-center Asus insignia. Although it's a well-known design, wearing it in public won't make you feel uncomfortable.

Case of missing Audio Jacks

Although the edge-to-edge keyboard is sufficiently comfortable for extended use, some users may find the trackpad to be less snappy and gratifying than in convertible laptops like the Dell XPS 13, and the key layout to be a little constrictive.

Aside from layout and feedback, this keyboard has a dedicated Caps Lock indicator and strong white LED backlighting. Although the illumination system is reasonably uniformly bright, you will notice that some light is leaking out of the keycaps with regular use.

Asus incorporates a large glass clickpad with Precision drivers and supplementary NumberPad capability behind the keyboard, located in the middle of the chassis. This clickpad is also compatible with their clamshell UX325/UX425 models. Although a little stiffer than I'd like, the surface is robust, smooth, and dependable.

The Flip 13 contains two USB Type-C connectors, one USB Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 output, and a microSD card for networking. You'll see that there isn't a headphone jack; to be honest, we would have rather seen one off of a microSD card slot. In the event that you must use headphones, a dongle that converts a USB Type-C connector to a 3.5mm audio socket is available.

A Colorful Touchscreen that is also offered in OLED

The 13.3-inch touchscreen panel on the convertible ZenBook Flip 13 UX363EA is offered as an FHD IPS with 100% sRGB coverage or as an FHD OLED with 100% DCI-P3 premium option.

Though more expensive, the latter is brighter and something to think about if you're a professional searching for the perfect business ultrabook with a real, color-accurate display.

But, its performance might not be adequate for demanding creative jobs that need for a specialized graphics card; for this reason, you might find yourself leaning toward the ZenBook Flip 13, which has IPS technology.

With nearly 100% sRGB color coverage, superb black and contrast levels, respectable viewing angles, and 300 nits of brightness, the model we're examining is a good choice for everyday usage. Although that brightness level is sufficient for indoor use, it could not be sufficient in bright conditions, particularly given the type of gloss screen being utilized.
