HP Pavilion 15-eg0025nr Review And Specification

The most recent mobile laptop for office users that need a portable workstation is the HP Pavilion 15-eg0025nr. Although it is targeted more at office workers, this laptop would appeal to any professional or college student who desires portability, style, and performance without spending a fortune.

The HP 15-eg0025nr is a capable multitasker thanks to the 11th-Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU, but if you intend to open a ton of browser tabs or process a lot of spreadsheets simultaneously, the 16GB RAM that comes with this configuration will help you get the most out of this HP Pavilion 15.

The HP 15-eg0025nr is only a copy of the HP Pavilion 15-eg0021nr from the previous year; however, it supports an upgrade to Microsoft's most recent desktop operating system. The 2021 model ships with Windows 11 Pro, whilst the earlier model ships with Windows 10 Pro.

The Pavilion 15 features a sleek, gray body and a lid that is simple to open, which could lead some creatives to mistake it for another business laptop. However, the stylised Chrome HP logo on the top is clear enough to indicate that this is not the case. However, the casing is stylish and opulent, designating it as a business laptop.

HP Pavilion 15-eg0025nr Design

The Pavilion 15-eg0025nr is a relatively small laptop with excellent portability. Even so, it still has a larger-than-average profile, measuring 14.18 x 9.21 x 0.70 inches and weighing 3.86 pounds. It also has a full-size chiclet keyboard, a number pad, and a 15.6-inch display with slim bezels.

The right-side of the device has one USB Type-C connector (which supports Type-C displays), four USB 2.0 Type-A connections, an HDMI port, and a microSD card slot. A charging port and a single USB 2.0 Type-A are located on the left side. Wireless communication is provided by Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6.

The display on the HP Pavilion 15 is not the best for photo editing. Even though it has an inbuilt Intel Iris Xe graphics card and full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution), it still cannot produce quality digital art or photos. All it does is provide a bright screen with great color gamut coverage and 250 nits of brightness for you to view and process data on.

You're better off with a laptop that sports a specialized graphics card and a higher screen brightness if you're looking for one to use for any kind of picture work. In any event, you should give another serious thought to your laptop of choice if it can't provide you with at least 300 nits of maximum brightness by 2021. Consider the HP Envy 13 or the Razer Blade Stealth 13 as options for that.

Keyboard & Touchpad

The keyboard of the Pavilion 15-eg0025nr is excellent and simple to use. Although the Lenovo ThinkPad T490 keys don't have excellent key travel, they nonetheless feel more comfortable than those on most computers in this price range. They have underlighting, so you may continue working without becoming tired late at night.

The power switch on this keyboard is also on the top right of the keyboard, as opposed to being a button or switch on the side of the chassis. The keycaps are comparable to those on the HP Envy 13 once more, but because the HP Pavilion is larger, there is space for a number pad.

The trackpad is a little difficult to use right out of the box, but after adjusting the sensitivity level in settings, it becomes simple to use. I believe that all other trackpads are not the finest for me after reviewing the Asus ZenBook 14, which has the smoothest trackpad.

 A Battery's Life

With the display's brightness set to 150 nits, the HP Pavilion 15's battery life is great, lasting approximately 6 hours 32 minutes. Although the official HP spec sheet states over 8 hours, in my experience, it lasts longer. The figure only makes sense if your laptop isn't being used for much else.
