HP Envy x360 15-es2026nr Review And Specification

The HP Envy x360 15-es2026nr can be the ideal laptop for you if you occasionally need to use both a tablet and a laptop for business but cannot afford either. As always, 2-in-1 convertibles provide the best of both worlds with a 360-hinge that allows you to quickly flip between a laptop and a tablet. Although the Envy x360 boasts a 12th generation Core i7 CPU and a robust build quality, it might not be suitable for everyone.

Although the new HP Envy x360 appears exquisite and is expertly constructed, its design lacks originality. It has the same distinctive HP design, but it has a more attractive appearance than other laptops in this price range. Even if this touchscreen isn't the 4K OLED seen on the majority of high-end computers, such as the HP Envy 16 or the Dell XPS 15 OLED, it still looks fantastic. Sitting at a coffee shop or perhaps at a work site, the 15-es2026nr looks good both indoors and outdoors thanks to its 1080p resolution.

But enjoying a 2-in-1 isn't optimal when utilizing the 15-inch HP Envy x360 as a tablet. Even though the laptop can be turned into a tablet, it weighs a bit more. The Envy x360 doesn't have the same feel as some hybrid laptops that run Windows 11 on iPads.

Design and Features

The HP Envy x360 does not disappoint in terms of appearance because, as we previously stated, it is designed for the professional, enterprise sector and can also be utilized by students. The 15-es2026nr, like all other Envy x360s, features an aluminum alloy chassis, a stylish silver tone, and an option for a black tone. It is designed to be sturdy.

That being said, compared to some other 2-in-1s, the Envy x360 is a touch heavier. Weighing 4.02 pounds and measuring 8.98 x 0.72 x 14.13 inches, it's not the best 2-in-1 you've ever seen, but it's also not the worst.

Comparing: Our favorite 2-in-1 convertible is the Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360, which weighs just 3.1 pounds and has dimensions of 14 x 9 x 0.46 inches. It has a 1080p AMOLED display, an Intel Core i-1260P, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 has a 13.4-inch FHD+ (3456 x 2160) display, weighs only 2.8 pounds, and is slimmer at 0.6 inches thick.

With two top-firing speakers on each side and down-firing speakers at the bottom to enhance the audio output, the keyboard deck is a little small. However, the sound quality is still two-in-one. Even if the speakers slightly compress the keyboard, most of the keys we use aren't too affected, so we found typing on it to be still comfortable. The Home key, the Page Up key, and the like keys are the only keys that are impacted; the other keys have been slightly rearranged to make more room.

Other than that, the trackpad is decent in size and lacks any unique features, but the individual keys are comfortable to type on and have good travel.

Display

The screen looks amazing. It is surrounded by extremely tiny bezels, and its edge-to-edge glass makes it far larger than its 15.6-inch screen. Bright, colorful images that make everything come to life are produced by the touchscreen display's IPS panel, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. Almost anything you may want to do with this computer, from doing digital art to streaming videos online, this screen is great for.

However, I have to admit that this machine's streaming performance is very impressive—not just because of its 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, but also because of its 16:9 aspect ratio. Naturally, the sound quality of Bang & Olufsen speakers is impressive.

Battery Life

We cycle through thirty popular web pages at 200 nits of battery life on a laptop to see how long it lasts for a typical workday until it totally drains. The HP Envy x360 has a 51Wh battery, so we expected it to last at least a full workday. However, we discovered that it performed marginally better, lasting just over 10 hours in the PCMark 10 battery test, despite HP's claims of over 11.30 hours.

It simply didn't last more than eight hours and 21 minutes in our tests, which included Chrome tabs with HD movies playing in the background. Even still, eight hours is a long time to watch videos—more than enough to get through a transatlantic flight—and charging from empty to almost 50% in just thirty minutes.
